What is the principle of coated fabrics?
Time:2019-03-13

Using solvents (nowadays, fabric factories usually use toluene or butanone) to dissolve the required coating particles (such as PU glue, A/C glue, PVC, PE glue) into a flowing state (related to the ratio of glue and sol, viscosity, etc.), and then evenly apply them to the fabric (such as cotton, polyester, nylon, etc.) in a scraper manner. Then, they are fixed by the temperature in the oven to form a uniform layer of covering glue on the surface of the fabric, achieving waterproofing and wind resistance, Breathing and other functions!

The current types of coating finishing

1. PA coating, also known as AC adhesive coating, or acrylic coating, is currently the most common and common type of coating. After application, it can increase the feel, windproof, and have a drooping sensation.

2. PU coating, also known as polyurethane coating, provides a full and elastic texture to the fabric after application, with a film like feel on the surface.

3. Anti down coating, also known as anti down coating, can prevent down from shedding and is suitable for making down jacket fabrics. But now PA coatings with water pressure requirements in the coating are also called anti fluff coatings.

4. PA white adhesive coating, which involves applying a layer of white acrylic resin to the surface of the fabric, can increase the coverage of the fabric, prevent color transmission, and make the color of the fabric more vibrant

5. PU white glue coating refers to applying a layer of white polyurethane resin on the surface of the fabric, which has a similar effect to PA white glue. However, after applying PU white glue, the texture is fuller, the fabric is more elastic, and the fastness is better.

6. PA silver adhesive coating refers to applying a layer of silver white adhesive on the surface of the fabric to provide shading and radiation protection. It is generally used for curtains, tents, and clothing.

7. PU silver adhesive coating, with basic functions similar to PA silver adhesive coating. But PU silver coated fabrics have better elasticity and fastness. For fabrics such as tents that require high water pressure, PU silver coated fabrics are better than PA silver coated fabrics.

8. Pearlescent coating, by applying a pearlescent coating to the surface of a fabric, gives it a pearl like luster, with silver white and colored hues. It looks very beautiful when made into clothing. There is also a distinction between PA pearlescence and PU pearlescence. PU pearlescence is smoother and brighter than PA pearlescence, with a better film feel, and is also known as the "pearl skin film".

9. Oil gloss coating, with a smooth and glossy surface after application, is generally suitable for making tablecloths and tablecloths.

10. Organic silicon high elastic coating, also known as paper sensitive coating. Thin cotton fabric is very suitable for making shirt fabrics, with a full feel, crispy and elastic, strong resilience, and wrinkle resistance. For thick fabrics, they have good elasticity and fastness.

11. Skin film coating, by pressing and coating the surface of the fabric, forms a skin film on the surface of the fabric, completely changing the style of the fabric. Generally, the leather film surface is made into the front of clothing, with a leather style. There are two options: matte and glossy, and various colors can be added to the coating to make a colorful film, which is very beautiful.

12. Flame retardant coating, by immersing or coating the fabric, gives the fabric a flame retardant effect. And can be painted in color or silver on the surface of the fabric. Generally used for curtains, tents, clothing, etc.

13. The three proof treatment of Teflon is achieved by using DuPont Teflon to treat the fabric, making it waterproof, oil resistant, and stain resistant.

14. Anti UV coating, by applying anti UV treatment to the fabric, gives it the ability to resist UV rays, that is, the ability to prevent UV rays from penetrating. Generally, light colors are difficult to achieve, while dark colors are easier to achieve.
